The Hedonist
Wayz’s latest model, The Hedonist are the result of the brand’s accumulated experience in producing and choosing eco-friendly materials. The result is a surprisingly lightweight design.
When it comes to comfort, the initial hardness of the materials is compensated for with a soft-touch inner lining and insole from the very first use. After some use, the superior quality of The Hedonist stands out in its entirety, with the flexibility adding to the coziness that feels all over the foot.
In this way, it was possible to create a pair of eco-friendly sneakers that are robust and resistant, giving you a long life span, yet extremely comfortable.
Eco-friendly materials
The exterior combines the use of vegetable leather whose tanning process to give it the color shade was done without using metals. This raw material is always obtained from the waste from the meat industry. In this way, it is possible to use this material in an environmentally friendly way to obtain a shoe that is extremely durable and allows the feet to breathe naturally.
Plastics collected from the ocean are also used, which after being recycled and added to recycled cotton, make up an outer fabric that is unique both to the touch and to the flexibility it gives the shoe in everyday use.
Recycled sole with great grip
The sole is made using recycled rubber from old shoes and production waste.
The sole is stitched to make The Hedonist (even more) durable.
The tread of the sole is designed to give a great grip on the ground and not wear out after half a dozen months.
Inner lining and insole
Hypoallergenic, metal-free leather is used in the tanning process to give it the color. The leather always comes from waste from the meat industry.
This combination of material in the inner lining and insole results in a regulated temperature when wearing the shoe, as it allows the feet to breathe naturally. That is to say, no more… undesirable smells.
Ethically designed and produced in Portugal
The Hedonist is designed and produced in the region of Porto, Portugal, with material suppliers from the Iberian Peninsula.
The Wayz brand works only with family-owned companies, with strong expertise in producing high quality footwear, whose workers are paid fairly and with good working conditions.
